Got a “prime cut” prime rib to cook for Christmas


And did the same last year (having a chef neighbor helps get a reasonable price- haha) I am cooking a bigger one than you but not really relevant.

One tip, I put the meat on a charcoal grill for about 20 minutes at a high temp. Gives it that nice flavor.

Then put in a 325 degree oven till wanted temp. Use a thermometer as it is certainly the most effective way. 120 degrees for medium rare.

Sounds like you know what to do, just don’t over think it.
